From Thursday 26th September, we have been running an extracurricular program to support students who wish to explore the concept of faith and spiritual development. We have been exploring the life of Jesus, using a TV Series called ‘The Chosen’. Students watch a short extract from the episode and then we open up to the students to discuss questions around ‘who Jesus was’, ‘why he did what he did’, and ‘what impact he had for good on his community’. We link this to our school’s Christian vision of showing love, care, and kindness to all in our community, valuing what we have, sharing with others, and enabling everyone to achieve their full potential. The discussions have been brilliant, and the young people attending have engaged and asked some inciteful questions, have seen how it can apply to their own lives, and how they can live out the Christian Values demonstrated by the life of Jesus.
