On Wednesday 16th June 2021 we hosted a successful sports award at St Michael’s Church of England High School. This was an opportunity to celebrate pupils’ achievements in sport and dance over the last year and for our Year 11 pupils during their time at St Michael’s. The 34 awards were presented to celebrate each pupil’s personal achievements.
Over the last year, every one of these pupils has maintained an amazing quality of work in PE and dance, regardless of the difficult circumstances. We felt that our pupils in Years 10 and 11 who had shown outstanding commitment in previous years in fixtures, trips and shows also deserved to be recognised. The pupils that were nominated for an award embodied the school values, both inside and outside of their PE lessons, and made brilliant progress over the academic year.
Unfortunately, due to current circumstances, we were not able to invite parents to celebrate this achievement with our pupils. We did, however, record the event so parents can watch this. Below is the link that will take you to the video of the sports awards.
