December 2020

7 – 11 December 2020: a report has been received from a parent that on two occasions two men have been seen leaning on a wall by the bus stop at the top of Salop Road, they do not get on a bus and appear to be watching the students come out of school. These incidents took place in the Oldbury area.

Tuesday 1 December 2020: at 3.20 pm a student, when walking home, was approached by a male. The male, who appeared to be drunk, was verbally abusive towards the student. The man was described as in his 40s, skinny with short brown hair and a little beard. He was wearing a blue shirt. The incident took place in Langley Library, Oldbury.

November 2020

Monday 23 November 2020: at approximately 3.55 pm a student was approached by two men who jumped out of a white van and offered the student some sweets from a box. The student fearing he was going to be grabbed, kicked the box of sweets out of their hands and ran off. The men were described as Asian, with short black hair and dressed in black. The incident took place at Regent Road, Tividale.

Monday 23 November 2020: a report has been received that a male in a white transit van pulled up next to a student after school yesterday. The man signalled the student to go to him and she ran away. The man was described as Asian, with black hair and a moustache. Police have been notified. The incident took place at Greenfield Road, Smethwick.

Wednesday 18 November 2020: a report has been received that a student was walking home after school and was followed by a man wearing a black hoodie. The student was followed from Ashes Road, Oldbury for quite a while.

Wednesday 18 November 2020: at 8.20 am while walking to school, a female was grabbed by the arm by a male. He pulled her; she pulled away and ran to a friend’s house. The man was described as approximately 6ft tall and wearing a green coat. The police have been notified. The incident took place at Tame Road, Tipton.

Wednesday 18 November 2020: a male has been seen outside a school and around the local area at the end of the school day, talking to female students and making inappropriate comments. He allegedly had a knife and threatened students. The man was described as 5’6”-5’8” tall, big build, with black short hair and shaved at the sides. The incident took place in the Cradley Heath area.

Monday 16 November 2020: in the morning, a parent was approached by a male in a silver Peugeot car asking for directions. He continued to follow and make comments to her. The incident took place in the Tipton area.

Wednesday 4 November 2020: at approximately 3.50 pm, a white Polo car with five men inside slowed to a stop and three of the men were taking photographs of a parent and her child as they walked from school. The males got out of the car and continued to take photos. The parent rushed her child away as quick as possible. The men were described as Asian and in their late 20s. The incident took place at Old Park Rd end of Alexander Road, Wednesbury. The police have been notified.

October 2020

Monday 19 October 2020: at 3 pm, a parent saw two young men chase another man with what appeared to be machetes along Suffrage Street, towards Corbett Street. There were three men in total and one of the men had a scooter. The men were described as black, approximately 16 – 17 years old. The police have been notified. The incident took place in Smethwick.

Monday 19 October 2020: 3.20 – 3.30 pm, a parent with a child entered the road and were followed by a male. He followed them part way up the road until a family in a car appeared, he then stopped and crossed over the road and walked away. The man was described as Asian, wearing black clothing and black cap. The incident took place at Monckton Road, Oldbury, B68 0QX.

Monday 19 October 2020: at 3.30 pm, a student has reported that he was followed home after leaving his friend’s house. The man was described as approximately 5’10” and wearing a light grey tracksuit with the hood up and black trainers. The incident happened  near Bleakhouse Junior School

Monday 19 October 2020: at 3.45 pm, a student got off the number 54 bus on Wheeldon Lane, Quinton, and two men in an old white Ford van followed the student down Wheeldon Lane. The men beeped their horn and called the student and his friends over, the boys ran away. The men were described as black. The police have been notified. The incident took place in the Quinton area.

Friday 16 October 2020: at approximately 8.40 am, a student, while walking to school, was approached by a car and asked if the student wanted to buy drugs and stated that they had ‘weed’. A male then showed a clear packet with green leaves in through the car window to the student. There were three males in the car and the car was described as a black Audi A4.  The men were described as approximately 20 years‑old. The driver was a white male with facial stubble and wearing black gloves, a camouflage coat, and a green baseball cap. The passenger was a black male and was wearing a black jacket and black gloves and the male in the back seat of the car was white with a little goatee beard and wearing a black Nike tracksuit. The police have been notified. The incident occurred at the Ikea roundabout, near Franchise Street, Wednesbury.

Wednesday 14 October 2020: between 8 – 8.30 am, a man spoke to a group of Year 7 students who were on their way to school. The male followed and made comments to the students, who they believe may have been drunk. The students ran down Bromford Lane towards the roundabout and the man chased them. The man was described as white, 5’10-11”, aged over 40, with a grey/white moustache and beard and wearing a red cap, blue flip flops, grey/black bottoms, red vest and a fleece jacket. The police have been notified. The incident took place at Bromford Lane, West Bromwich (near Margaret Street).

Friday 9 October 2020: at Rowley Village, Rowley Regis and on Monday 12 October 2020 at 8.15 am on Hanover Road, Rowley Regis, a man was seen looking at female students while they walked to school. The man was described as white, approximately 30-40s, slim, average height, short spiky hair and brown eyes and wearing a short cream jacket and dark trousers. The incident occurred in Rowley Regis.

Friday 2 October 2020: at 8.57 am, while walking to school, a Year 7 student was threatened and grabbed by three males. The men were described as aged 15-20 years old and wearing Adidas tracksuits. The incident took place at an alleyway on Ash Tree Road, Cradley Heath.

September 2020

Wednesday 30 September 2020 at 3.20 pm and Thursday 1 October 2020 at 12noon: a male appeared at a school, saying he was schizophrenic, felt ill and needed help. The school have been made aware the man has “police markers” for carrying a knife. He was described as white, approximately 6 feet tall, aged 28 and wearing a grey coat, black trousers and black and white trainers.

Tuesday 29 September 2020: at 3.35 pm, a parent and her 6 year old daughter, on their way home from school, were approached by a man. The man spoke and made a comment about the hat the child was wearing. The man was described as white, slim, approx. 6 feet tall, 55 years old, with white hair and wearing a thin orange jacket and had a black backpack. The incident took place in the Wednesbury area.

Monday 28 September 2020: a male appeared to be taking photos/videos through the school perimeter fence of children playing. After being approached by a teacher, he moved away from the fence. The man was described as Asian, in his 20’s/early 30’s and wearing a black jacket and black cap. The police have been notified. The incident took place in the West Bromwich area.

Monday 28 September 2020: between 8.30 am – 9 am, a man was standing on the opposite side of the road to a student; he actioned the student to go over to him but the student did not. The man then crossed the road and started to follow the student, remaining approximately 10 metres away from him. The student then cut through the woodland and across the school field. When the student arrived near the school gate, the man was near there so student doubled back. When he walked back to the back gate the man was no longer there.  The man was described as in his late 50’s/early 60’s, wearing a red puffer jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and black smart shoes. The incident took place at Tame Road (under the bridge before school fields).

Wednesday 23 September 2020: at approximately 7.55 am, a student was approached by five males who were riding scooters. The student who was the phone was asked if he was on the phone to the police, he said no and made his way to school. The student has reported that the males were acting suspiciously. The men were described as white, all approximately 6 foot, one was wearing a blue tracksuit and one wearing a grey tracksuit. All males were wearing masks. The police have been notified. The incident occurred at Perry’s Park Pitfields Close, Oldbury.

Monday 21 September 2020: in the morning, a student has reported that he was followed on the way to school along the Wolverhampton Road. The man was described as having brown hair and wearing a blue Adidas tracksuit. The incident took place in the Oldbury area.

Friday 11 September 2020:  a student was walking along St Marks Road when a grey transit van pulled out and started driving alongside. The student saw some students and went towards them. The van sped past and turned into Queens Road. The man was described as possibly 30s or early 40s. The police have been notified. The incident took place in the Oldbury area.
