Due to COVID restrictions and to ensure students remain in their year group bubbles during break and lunch periods, students will eat lunch in a variety of year group bases around the school. To facilitate this and ensure provision can be delivered to each area, an adapted break and lunch menu will be in place until restrictions can be eased.
Cashless Catering:
All students and staff will have to use the online cashless catering system (Parent Pay) to upload money onto their account, as the cash upload machines in school will not be accessible. Money can also be uploaded using Pay Points at local shops.
At break, students will be able to select from a limited provision of drinks and snacks and payment will be taken remotely using the students name and form due to the Biometrics Fingerprint recognition system being disabled.
For lunch you will need to place your orders for the week by Monday 9 am of that week. Again, payment will be taken remotely using the information on the form. NB: Free School Meal allocation will be automatically be applied to those students who are eligible. Lunch will be prepared for your child each day and delivered in a sealed bag to their year group base. Students will need to show their school planner as identification to collect their lunch.
We appreciate that this is a very different provision to our usual methods. However, to ensure the reduction in contact points and the maintenance of year group bubbles, there is unfortunately no other alternative.
As usual, students are able to bring in snacks and drinks from home as well as a packed lunch.
NB: Students with insufficient funds will be allowed to purchase food for that week. However, parents will be contacted each Friday to ensure funds are reimbursed.
